Superb 19th.C. French Commode Chest Of Drawers

A very good quality 19th.C. French marble top commode stamped N.E.Cornet. Of shallow breakfront form with beautifully book matched veneers and 2 graduated drawers with a marquetry panel of inlaid flowers, original gilded handles, escutcheon and working lock with key. The rounded corners having ormolu mounts and inlaid stiles leading to cabriole legs with ormolu sabots. The sides with matching book matched veneers set within banded inlay above the shaped apron. The stunning brown and white variegated marble top with thumb moulded edge and follows the outline of the base including the rounded corners and shallow breakfront.Condition :- The whole in superb original condition, cleaned and waxed in our own workshops.
