Fine Japanese Gold Wire Cloisonne Enamel Dish

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality diminutive Meiji Period (1868-1912) cloisonne enamel square form dish artsist sealed to the underside. The green enamel central panel depicts a bird pecking at the ground beneath a bed of flowers aside a large rockwork, this entire panel predominatly worked with gold wires throughout, the rockwork most unusually framed with flattened gold wire. The blue enamel inner border finely worked with silver wired floral sprigs to each corner and set within a silver framed geometric outer border, the rear of this charming little dish is decorated with a heavy counter enamel set with a silver wired artist seal, a most charming addition to your cloisonne enamel collection.
