Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An Uzbek Suzani kilim is a traditional flatweave textile from Central Asia, often constructed by hand-stitching narrower woven strips together to create a larger decorative piece decorated with geometric or floral motifs.

Traditional kilims are constructed primarily using natural wool for both the warp and weft, spun by hand and dyed using plant-based or mineral colourants before being woven on narrow village looms.

Authentic pieces display hand-spun yarn variations, subtle colour abrash throughout the weave, hand-stitched panel seams, and natural softening of dyes over time rather than uniform synthetic tones.

A flatweave kilim can be used as a central floor covering on light wooden floorboards or mounted securely on a wall as a decorative tapestry to add texture and historical pattern to contemporary rooms.

Vacuum gently using a suction attachment without a rotating brush, address spills immediately with a clean dry cloth, and consult a specialist rug restorer for periodic gentle washing.
