Description

A walnut and burr walnut chest of drawers by Waring & Gillow, English c.1910. Made at the firm’s Lancaster factory and lined in mahogany, the drawers feature fine dovetail joints and matching burr walnut facades, each with shaped handles edged in satinwood. The chest comprises two short drawers over three full-width drawers. Supported on bracket feet, the carcass is fitted with a slightly overhanging top. Maker’s label to the interior.
