19th Century Swedish Burr Walnut Serpentine Chest of Drawers

An elegant 19th century Swedish burr walnut serpentine chest of drawers, showcasing beautifully figured walnut veneers with rich burr grain throughout. The shaped top sits above a fitted top drawer and three further graduated drawers, all retaining their original leather escutcheons and supplied with two working keys.

The serpentine front and refined proportions reflect the understated sophistication of Swedish cabinetmaking, while the warm colour and striking walnut figuring make this an attractive and practical piece for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The chest has been professionally repolished and waxed, enhancing the depth and character of the timber whilst preserving its period charm. It is presented in excellent condition, with smooth-running drawers and a lovely mellow finish ready for immediate use.
