Description

A 19th Century Mahogany Chest.

With the original marble top and an unusual pattern of six graduated drawers, each mahogany lined and with dust catcher. The drawers with locks, keyhole escutcheons, and pairs of melon handles. The drawers flanked by outward and downward tapering spiral fluted columns resting on turned and fluted plinths. The whole finished with a faced plinth foot.

The chest of unusual design and of excellent quality.

Date circa 1850.

Height 40 1/2 inches, 103cm.
