An antique Dutch bureau in rosewood, dating to circa 1800. The bombe-shaped cabinet features a sloping fall-front that opens to reveal a fitted interior with small drawers and pigeonholes. Below are three full-width drawers, each adorned with elaborate gilt-brass escutcheons and handles. The rosewood veneers display strong figuring across the front and sides, while the shaped apron and splayed feet reflect the baroque style influences typical of Dutch cabinetry of this period.
