Charles Hindley & Sons (1820 – 1892) provided high quality and beautifully designed pieces, they were known for their Gothic Revival and Aesthetic designs which were highly fashionable at the time. The company received a Royal Warrant of Appointment and exhibited at the Great Exhibition of 1851 to name a few. The firm was established at 31–32 Berners Street, London and later moved to Oxford Street when they took over the well acclaimed furniture makers Miles & Edwards in 1844. Their furniture is held in high regard due to its superior quality and is now highly collectible.
