Large 19th Century Country House Sofa C1840

Description

A super mid 19th century country house sofa. Raised on thick turned front legs and splayed rear legs, all with the original large brass casters. The legs and show wood are mahogany with veneered mahogany at the back. English c1840

The frame is in good solid order with tight joints and the fillings are firm and intact. The cushion is what feels like a horse hair squab but is not original to the sofa and not the best fit so a new feather cushion or cushions would be needed whilst the upholstery is taking place.

As with all our upholstered seating we do offer upholstery should you wish.
