Lee Wright Antiques & Interiors Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Of rectangular form with two deep drawers and a shallower drawer disguised in the frieze panel. The commodes are veneered throughout in high quality walnut, the tops using bookmatched timber and darker burl being used for the frieze and lower apron to contrast with the golden coloured pieces used for the larger drawer fronts. The commodes stand on tapering legs.
Each commode has a fine colour and patination.
