Description:
A good one pint measure, by Thomas Phillips I of London, England who worked 1795 - 1849.
The measure has straight sided body and stands on a slightly flared and stepped foot with a double scroll handle. The inner base is clearly marked with the makers Touch mark, and to the left of the handle are the four hallmarks for Nathaniel Barber I which are often found on measures with Phillips touch mark.
Below the hallmarks is a clear crowned WR (William III Ale Standard mark). There is also a crowned X and pint label.
The verification marks are:
Crowned VR 396 for Hertford County.
LyStA over A for St Albans Liberty.
There is also a clear Hertfordshire County mark of a stag with antlers sitting down, this is stamped sideways.

Albert Bartram collection.
Condition:
Excellent condition with a lightly polished silver grey finish and some small traces of light oxide.
Repairs: There are no repairs that I could detect.
