Antique Pewter has dated this Antique Pewter Spire Flagon to the 18th Century.
A small spire flagon by Robert Iles of London, England; who worked 1691 - 1735.
The flagon is of 1quart Old English Wine Standard capacity, the tapering drum with high fillet, double-scroll 'drape-and-drop' handle, with hooded ball terminal and oval shaped escutcheon to lower attachment, chairback thumbpiece, double dome lid with elongated finial, four hallmarks and 'X' mark to rim,.

These flagon were for communion use in Churches.
Condition:
Good condition with a smooth grey oxide finish.

Repairs: There is possibly an old repair to the base, very difficult to detect.

Base diameter: 4.50in (11.5cm).
Capacity: 34.6 fl.oz.
