Description

An Italian 18th Century Gilt and Painted Sofa or Settee.

Retaining its original gilding and painted finish, this lovely piece has a curved, wood stick back splat which wraps around the sides. Standing on eight fluted and tapering legs with simple toupie feet. There is some gilded detailing and carved paterae on the frieze. It is of good scale and has impressive sculptural form.

Upholstered to an under-finish and ready for the client's choice of final fabric, it could also be left as-is.
