Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
A handsome 19th century, English chaise-daybed with a chesterfield button back, turned mahogany legs and period castors, upholstered within the last 5-10 years in a grey linen cotton, professional upholstery and stuffing preparation which allows a great base to reupholster if preferred.

A stylish design with no arms, splendid reclined back and 170cm length.

The existing upholstery is in structurally excellent condition and may just need a wash on the edges where stored but otherwise negligible wear, the professional preparation for the recent upholstery was comprehensive, allowing removal and simple replacement of any new upholstery without the need for springs, webbing, stuffing etc.., ready to go.

The frame is structurally excellent, tight without wobbles or loose joints, 1 leg has a split which we shall have addressed in our workshop, all period castors are intact and operating, please note there are 3 ceramic and 1 brass.
