In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An Art Deco camphor wood chest is a storage trunk produced during the early to mid-20th century, combining European modern design aesthetics with oriental carved relief panels and aromatic camphor wood construction.

These chests are typically constructed with an exterior of solid oak, limed oak, or teak, lined internally with fragrant camphor timber to deter insects, and finished with decorative brass latch hardware.

Authentic period examples feature characteristic geometric or ribbed Art Deco mouldings, hand-carved figurative relief panels, traditional brass faceplates, and a natural aromatic scent inside the interior.

A camphor wood chest can be placed at the foot of a bed, positioned in a hallway for footwear storage, or utilised as a central coffee table in a living room setup.

Dust the exterior regularly using a soft dry microfibre cloth and apply clear beeswax lightly along the grain, taking care to avoid harsh solvents that could disrupt the limed surface finish.
