W.R. Harvey & Co. (Antiques) Ltd has dated this George III Secretaire Bookcase to the 18th Century.
A very good George III Period Mahogany Secretaire Bookcase, the dentil cornice above a flat and fluted frieze and two 13-pane astragal glazed doors opening onto three mahogany fronted adjustable shelves, the secretaire drawer opening to show an interior of crossbanded small drawers and pigeon holes around a central oval shell inlaid and crossbanded door with three further full width drawers below and the whole raised on shaped bracket feet.
