Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
They are of outstanding quality, really well made and beautifully designed.
It has a beautifully shaped front, sits on cabriole legs with carving at the knees and has intricate carving around the top edge. The mirror is also nicely carved at the top and it is adjustable, the drawers have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. The matching gondola stool came with this and has the same carving at the knees of its cabriole legs.
We have had all the wood re-polished and the stool has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. This is in excellent condition throughout.
