A good example of a traditional Armenian kilim from the Karabagh region. The kilim is woven in soft pastel colours with a large scale double linked medallion design, on a dark indigo blue ground. The use of soft greens, yellows, blues and light pinks makes this a most attractive furnishing kilim. The traditional Armenian name for this kilim design translates to ''bee design'', as the medallions contain stylised bee''s gathering nectar from a flower.
 
The kilim is in excellent condition with very slight wear, I have detected a few very well done small old repairs.
 
The kilim is suitable for normal domestic use.
