This is a wonderful original 19th-century Oil on Board Landscape Painting depicting a rural and eerie riverside woodland setting.

The fabulous image portrays a peaceful time of day, set within a hazy backdrop of tall trees and a mysterious silhouette that can be seen rising from the ground in the distance.
