Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This Persian antique Isfahan area rug dates from 1910 and uses wool and cotton materials in a crimson red and navy colour palette. The hand-knotted textile displays a classical central medallion pattern surrounded by floral arabesques, vine scrolls, and palmette borders, with soft natural dyes visible throughout the finely woven pile and minimal wear on the side-cords. It measures 207 cm high, 137 cm wide, and 2 cm deep. Suitable as a decorative floor covering for a study or traditional living space, the rug brings warmth and intricate pattern to an interior. The clean condition allows for immediate placement on the floor in a home.

Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting without a rotary brush, rotate the rug annually to ensure uniform foot traffic wear, and rely on professional specialist rug cleaners for deep cleaning.

Anchor a contemporary living room or formal dining space by pairing the deep crimson and navy tones with natural timber flooring and neutral linen or leather upholstery.

Authentic examples feature asymmetrical Persian knots, precise structural alignment, muted natural dyes, and balanced central medallions with detailed floral vine scrolling.

These carpets are typically hand-knotted using high-grade wool or silk pile spun onto a durable cotton or silk foundation, yielding a high knot density and intricate pattern resolution.

Isfahan rugs originate from the city of Isfahan in central Iran, renowned since the Safavid period for fine hand-knotted weaving featuring complex floral arabesques and central medallion motifs.
