Description

An absolutely gorgeous antique figured walnut chest of drawers. This was made in England, we would date it to around the 1890-1900 period, possibly earlier.

It is of superb quality and has a stunning patina, the walnut has a beautiful colour tone and wonderful grain patterns. The drawer fronts have double herringbone banding around the edges, there are beautifully cast brass handles and escutcheons. This stands on bracket feet and the top is also cross banded.

We have had this recently re-polished, it is in lovely condition for its age. There is just some minor wear and age related patina remaining beneath the polish.

To look at inside & out, this chest of drawers looks like & is constructed like a period 18th century piece, because it’s that well made.
