The tapered posts balance out the overall feel of the bed and lead up to a delightful canopy with supports, for adding curtains or drapery adding to the overall sentimental or saccharine feel of the bed.
The central motif has been decoupaged with a lovely lace inspired theme, mirroring the curves and flowing lines of the panels. Shellacked to protect.
Professionally restored to be sturdy and practical, the frame has been shot blasted, primed and hand painted with Little Greene’s Stock Deep, waxed to preserve.
The side rails have been strengthened and adapted to support wood slats or a bed base.
