The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The gilt movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 17570767 which dates it back to 1908. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a light scratch.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals. The lens has a small nibble to the outer edge but you have to look closely to see it.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in lovely condition, as is the signed dial. The dial has the special half hunter hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
