ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (because of GPSR legislation, we no longer post items less than 100 years old to Europe, including Northern Ireland).

Please contact us regarding international shipping.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.

Credit / debit card purchases up to £300 can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the 'Purchase Antique' button on each listing page. Alternatively, there is a Paypal payment link if you scroll down the page and we also accept bank transfers.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.

This gold-filled pocket watch dates from the 1930s Art Deco period, presenting a full hunter case with a polished gold finish and a spring-loaded front cover operated by the winding crown. The watch reveals a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at the bottom, and original blued steel spade hands behind a clear glass lens. An attached winding stem and suspension loop project from the right side. The piece sits openly on a transparent display stand against a warm brown wooden background, showcasing a polished inner case lid that reflects the white dial. This gentleman's accessory measures 50 mm in diameter, excluding the winding stem and loop. A collector uses such a timepiece to display on a desk or library shelf, or carries it in a waistcoat pocket for formal wear.

A full hunter pocket watch features a protective hinged outer metal cover that springs open via a push-piece on the crown to reveal the watch dial. Popularised in the 19th and early 20th centuries, this construction protected the glass crystal from damage during active use.

Vintage Swiss pocket watches commonly feature cases made of solid gold, gold plating, rolled gold, or sterling silver. Dials are frequently crafted from fired white enamel paired with heat-blued steel hands and precision mechanical movements.

Authentic 1930s pocket watches display stamped manufacturer hallmarks inside the case back, serial numbers on the movement, and period-typical typography such as crisp Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial at six oclock.

An antique pocket watch can be displayed on a dedicated brass pocket watch stand, suspended inside a glass dome, or arranged alongside vintage gentlemans accessories on a study desk or tray.

Keep mechanical timepieces in a dry environment away from magnetic fields. Ensure the internal movement is lubricated and serviced by a professional horologist every three to five years, and avoid over-winding the mainspring.
