Early 18th Century Walnut Bureau

Description

This attractive early 18th century walnut bureau with cross banded and herringbone inlay. The fall front is an elegantly designed interior consisting of four small and one long drawers with eight pigeon holes, and a lockable inlay centre cupboard. The fall front door fitted with tooled olive green leather the furniture standing on original offset shaped bracket feet with cross grain mouldings. The drawer's interior is made for hardwood (Oak) to ensure a longer durability.

The Bureau is unrestored and it's in original antique condition with minor historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is to be expected with functional antique furniture. Structurally sound, and there is no evidence of any woodworm.
