The kidney-shaped writing desk constructed from amaranth and inlaid with parquetry and marquetry panels, mounted with ormolu throughout; rising from short cabriole legs with acanthus scrolled gilt bronze sabots to each pedestal support, the kneehole flanked by two cupboards faced with marquetry doors opening to reveal three banks of drawers; the remaining sides and modesty panel faced with lozenge parquetry; above, the frieze housing three drawers with ormolu escutcheons beneath the gilt-tooled leather writing surface.
