Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Heriz carpets originate from the Northwest region of Iran, near Mount Sabalan. Woven by village weavers, these carpets became renowned in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries for their distinctive geometric interpretations of traditional medallion motifs and remarkable durability.

Authentic Heriz runners are hand-knotted using high-quality wool pile spun onto a sturdy cotton warp and weft foundation. The wool is historically dyed using natural plant and mineral dyes, producing rich terracotta reds, deep blues, and earthy secondary tones.

Authentic Heriz pieces feature distinctly angular, geometric medallion designs rather than fluid curvilinear patterns. They exhibit a firm weave with a thick wool pile, a flexible backing showing hand-knotted texture, and slight variations in colour known as abrash.

A Persian runner brings warmth, texture, and colour to narrow spaces such as entryways, corridors, and kitchens. It serves as a visual anchor that contrasts elegantly against minimalist architecture or complements classic timber floorboards.

Regular vacuuming using a suction-only setting without a rotating brush beam prevents fibre damage. Using a quality underlay pad protects against friction wear, while occasional rotation ensures even foot-traffic exposure and prevents localized fading.
