Fine Antique Silk Prayer Rug Carpet

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a beautiful very finely woven silk prayer carpet dating from the early 20th century, circa 1920.

The carpet has a mirhab design with tree of life in soft coral and ivory and entwined floral designs above a central urn. There are four panels of calligraphy above the mihrab which is surrounded by multiple finely detailed borders.

The carpet is in excellent condition ready for use.

It measures 185 cms by 125 cms
