Description

Original (early 20thC) ‘Art Deco’ bronze nude ‘Le Reveil’ (The Awakening) by Fernand David (1872-1927), signed on the base plus a plaque. The statues stands 14in (36cm) high, including its original variegated marble base (approx. diameter 4.25in/11cm). Weight 2.4kg.

The statue is in excellent original condition. The base has some chips (see photos) but this doesn’t detract from the beauty of the sculpture.
