FAQs

Marble angel sculptures have been utilised in European art and architecture for centuries, transitioning from religious iconography in churches to focal points in grand estates and domestic interiors during the neoclassical and Victorian periods.

Traditional sculptures are hand-carved from solid blocks of natural stone, such as Carrara or architectural marble, using traditional chisels, gouges, and hand-polishing techniques to achieve intricate detail and texture.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit natural weathering, tool marks consistent with period craftsmanship, patina from age, and subtle mineral variations within the stone rather than the uniform texture of modern resin casts.

Placing a stone sculpture in a modern setting creates a focal point that contrasts hard architectural lines with organic form; position it in an open alcove or against a minimal backdrop to highlight its silhouette.

Marble should be dusted regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners, harsh chemicals, or abrasive scouring pads, which can etch the polished or weathered stone surface.
