Antique Mahogany Bow Front Sideboard

Description

A superb 19th Century antique mahogany bow front sideboard. The antique sideboard has an arrangement of one single drawer and under drawer to the centre, flanked by two deep drawers, with three of the four drawers having wooden knobs. The mahogany sideboard is raised on six turned baluster tapering legs. A rather pleasing example, with brilliant colour, grain and ebonised inlay throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and stains to the top (pictured), further marks and scratches to the front (pictured). There are also shrinkage splits to the sides (pictured). There are losses to the veneer at the sides, and inlay to the front in places (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the product. The antique mahogany bow front sideboard remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Overall, a neat example.
