The most gorgeous, small, mahogany bureau bookcase which would fit anywhere!The bureau drawers are oak lined and (which is very rare) has the original key to the drawers.The drawers have rococo brass handles and escutcheonsThe interior is stunning. It has a central cupboard (again with the original key) and it is flanked by 2 ''book-end'' secret compartments. Those are flanked by small drawers and pigeon holes.There is the original working key to lock the fall.The 13 pane 2 door glazed top (which obviously separates from the base for ease of movement) has 3 completely adjustable shelves. Again it has a working key.I took the photos outside in bright sunlight which shows the beautiful figuring of the wood but makes it appear paler. The photos taken inside reflect the true colour it will be in your home.
