Very elegant and decorative Edwardian Sheraton style satinwood marquetry inlaid Bonheur du jour ladies writing desk, circa 1890 and in good condition.
The table top section with an open pigeon hole area and single drawer below, flanked by two decorated concave pillars and small cupboards with a central shelf. There is a full width frieze drawer which has a green baize brushing slide which can be slid back to open up the full drawer space with a slim organiser box to the righthand side.
The whole piece in satinwood with marquetry inlay, painted decoration and cross banded with end grain walnut.
This could also work well as a dressing table, but as intended in a living room setting this is a beautiful piece of furniture for use or just decorative.
