Description

This spectacular Oushak carpet is as good as it gets. Woven in the last quarter of the 19th century, it would fit equally well in modern homes with both modern and traditional furniture. Fine hand spun wool and natural dyes are combined to create a carpet with a restrained repeating palmette design, all framed by an equally elegant border. Note the lovely soft terracotta background and the lovely golds, green and blues. The border is also very attractive, and frames the field very well. Some minor restoration has taken place in my own workshop but to a very high standard. Professionally cleaned and ready for immediate use.
