A fine quality writing table with kingwood cross banding throughout. Original gilt bronze handles, mounts and gallery. The raised and removable superstructure has an arrangement of pigeon holes and drawers while the base has a single central drawer. Super choice of burr walnut veneers, the whole in lovely original condition. C1870. Athletically pleasing, useful and well regarded piece of 19th century furniture.
