Antique Regency Inlaid Mahogany Bureau C1800 Wdb6068/6.10

Description

Lovely antique regency inlaid mahogany bureau and dating from around 1800. It has a shaped and raised back panel inlaid stringing with raised shelf supported on shaped lyre ends and the fall front with inlaid fruitwood and sunburst inlay to each corner opens to reveal a very nice interior with a series of pigeon holes with shaped frieze and two small drawers to either side and with a mahogany writing surface.

The base has two short drawers both of which are pine lined with inlaid stringing and brass handles above two flamed mahogany doors both with inlaid fruitwood and sunburst inlay and with brass divider separating the doors. It has an internal shelf and is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.

This is a most unusual bureau of quality mahogany in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozes quality and the charm of the regency period

Measures: 52" hgh X 30" height to knee height for desk X 19" deep X 37" wide
