Description

Outstanding French marquetry chest of drawers. The superb shaped serpentine marble top sits on two large drawers having some of the most gorgeous rosewood and satinwood veneers. Highly decorative with quality gilt bronze ormolu mounts and large handles and escutcheons. It has a shaped skirt with ormolu mount and is standing on legs terminating in gilt metal sabots. A simply stunning chest in excellent condition with only minor signs of use consistent with age. Combined this chest with a gilt mirror of painting and you have an amazing focal point of any room.
