Seated on a stone trough in an alcove wearing a traditional Irish leprechaun style hat over her red hair. She is wearing a brilliant white apron over her workday clothes. There is running water filling the stew pot and potato peelings falling to the flagstone floor.

This is a very poignant scene, post 1849 which marked the end of the Potato Famine which changed the way of life in Ireland.

This scene bears a message, showing that the beautiful people of Ireland have survived a bleak time in history. Presented within a glazed Hogarth style frame with cream mount
