Description

Here we have a wonderful George III Oak bureau c1780. As you can see the bureau has great colour and patina. There is a quater sawn fall front with original working lock and key. There is a fully fitted interior with 7 secret drawers and clever mechanisms to release some of them. There is a central well and original hinges. There are two faux drawers to the top as the well is behind and then three further drawers. The drawers have hand cut thick dovetail joints. Oak linings, cockbeaded edges and brass swan neck handles. The whole sits on original bracket feet. There is a beautiful and rare inlaid sunburst to the bottom drawer. A super small useful bureau in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 92 cm wide 102 cm high 50 cm deep.
