Description:
Antique English pewter triple reeded plate of 8.625 inch diameter. The front rim bears a set of hall marks for Thomas Smith of London who worked 1675 - 1703, The rim also has punched ownership initials ''RDS'', which may possibly be a marriage triad. The reverse bears two partial touch marks along with a host of collectors labels. Of particular note is that this plate is very well hammered all over to include the rim.
Condition:
The plate is in excellent condition with a very lightly polished finish to the front, with traces of oxide left within the hammer marks. The reverse is also lightly polished with some light oxide.
Repairs: There are no repairs.
Size: 8.625 inch diameter (21.90cm). The rim width is 1.00 inch (2.50cm).
