Skippings Fine Arts has dated this piece to the 1930s.

She exhibited at the Salon des Tuileries, the Salon of Decorative Artists, the International Exhibition of Arts and Sciences, and in 1937 the City of Paris acquired one of her landscapes. Our sunny mediterranean scene dates from this very period.

Yvonne was also exceptional as a painter of animals, and exhibited at the Galerie Edgar Brandt – the first gallery of the decorative arts, inaugurated in 1925 – alongside Art Deco masters such as Paul Jouve, André Margat and Edouard-Marcel Sandoz.
Our oil on panel measures 43 x 55 cm and is signed at the lower right. Presented in its original frame, overall framed size is 60 x 68 cm.
