A rare and desirable form of dresser in the heavy and dense native oak of Snowdonia. The upper section has a bold cornice with side pendants, or droppers, above three shelves backed by panelled hewn boards and flanked by shaped ''belly-rack'' sides with shaped shoes, over a base with a pair of doors with arched raised and fielded panels, enclosing a shelved interior.
Wonderful colour and surface patination. Snowdonia, north-west Wales, circa 1690.
This is an important piece and a collector''s dream.
