Antique Georgian Mahogany Bureau Desk C1780 Wdb4525/22.6

18th century
Description

Antique george 111 mahogany bureau desk and dating from aorund 1780. It has a fall front with cross banded edge and brass key escutcheon with working key and which opens to reveal a very nice mahogany interior with a central door and four arched pigeon holes to each side and above four short drawers with a brown faux leather writing surface which is a later quality replacement. To the base there are four long drawers all of which are oak lined and with original brass handles and escutcheons and is it moulded to the base standing on bracket feet.

In very good condition and of quality mahogany with deep colour and patination oozing the charm and character of the georgian period.

Measures: 44" high X knee height 31" X 21" deep X 43" wide
