Description

A late 18th century, tambour front writing desk. Cuban timber retaining its original finish. Two drawers with swan neck handles, slender square tapering legs terminating in brass cup castors. The interior fitted with pigeon hole compartments and an arrangement of drawers, pull out leather writing surface with deep green, tooled leather insert, set into an.adjustable writing surface which can be used flat or fixed at various angles . Lovely original condition throughout. C 1780. Sound and solid construction with a complete working tambour.
