William &Mary 18th Century Walnut Fall Front Escritoire

Description

Firstly let me say that these photos are not good and do not do justice to this lovely piece. It is impossible to get this big piece in the right light .Yes, it does come in two parts and is extremely heavy even without the drawers in situ.

We have not done any form of restoration and we believe that this escritoire was in the same property for over 250 years.

There are faults . The handles to the base have been replaced and somebody at some time has tried to cover up the ageing marks on the fall front. This doesn't show normally but the camera has picked it up.

It comes with the original key and appears to have its original escutcheons.

Inspection is obviously welcome and for delivery please ask for a quote.
