Description

A large and top quality George II Gentleman's bureau of generous proportions. Constructed from superb Cuban mahogany with oak linings throughout. The bureau has 4 graduated and cock beaded drawers with each retaining their original brass ornate swan neck handles and escutcheons. The solid mahogany fall opens to reveal a tan leather writing surface and fitted interior which has 5 pigeon holes and 2 banks of 4 small drawers and a wider centre drawer all having brass pulls. This wonderful quality piece of George II period furniture has a wonderful original colour and patina and stands on it's original offset blind fret carved bracket feet.
