18th Century walnut and feather banded bureau, having a lovely figured fall which open to reveal a wonderful fitted interior consisting of various drawers and compartments, including a cupboard door at the centre which opens to include a secret drawer, a brown leather writing surface decorated with blind and gold tooling, the bureau having four oak lined graduated drawers with brass plate handles and escutcheons, the drawer fronts having feather banded inlay, standing on shaped bracket feet. Circa 1770.
