Narrow Antique Georgian Oak Bureau C1780 Wdb190/5.4

Description

A most unusual and sought after antique george 111 narrow oak bureau and dating form around 1780. It has a brass escutcheon and working key to the fall front which opens to reveal a central door with a secret bookend sliding compartment to each side and with three arched pigeon holes above two small drawers and with a later faux leather writing surface which has usual usage wear but in good condition. To the base there four long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined and with later brass handles and escutcheons and it stands on bracket feet.

A most attractive georgian oak bureau with lovely deep nut brown colour and patination to the oak oozing the charm and character of the georgian period.

Measures: 42" high X knee height 30" X 18" deep X 31" wide
