Antique Regency Mahogany Bureau Desk C1800 Wnk4628b/5.4

Description

Lovely antique regency mahogany bureau and dating from around 1800. Of quality mahogany it has a fall front with original brass escutcheon which opens to reveal a very nice interior with tooled leather writing surface and with four pigeon holes to the centre above two drawers and to either side there is a long drawer above three short drawers with pigeon hole to either side. To the base there are two short drawers over two long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined and with original brass handles. It stands on splayed bracket feet joined by a shaped frieze with inlaid shell to the centre.

A most attractive regency mahogany bureau in very good condition and with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing the charm and character of the regency period.

Measures: 42" high X knee height 30" X 21" deep X 42" wide
