A superb quality 19th.century Biedermeier figured mahogany abattant. The stepped and shaped top having applied decorative carvings with turned finials and drawer. The lower ogee moulded drawer flanked by canted corners with well carved top and bottom corbels. The fall having central book matched flame mahogany panel set within the moulded frame and opens to a very well fitted interior. Consisting of 7 walnut and cross banded drawers with ebony pulls and pigeonholes. Below is a pull-out writing slide which retains the original tooled leather writing surface. The lower section having 3 shaped and moulded full width drawers and the whole raised on short cabriole legs. Condition - Very good and original, fully cleaned and waxed with working locks and keys.
